  • The Barn at Union Grove Farm is located at 1052 Lily Pad Lane Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27516.

    We are conveniently just 6 miles from downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill, and we have quick access to I-40 via the New Hope Church Road exit 263. And, in case you are looking for a sweet treat while you’re planning a visit, we are 1 mile away from Maple View Farm Ice Cream

  • With over 4400 square feet of indoor space, and an additional 1000 square feet of covered porch, the barn can easily accommodate 200 guests. 

  • In addition to the rental of our post and beam barn, we provide tables an chairs for your guests, as well as access to our grounds with acres of lush landscapes to serve as perfect photo backdrops. Our fee also covers a cleaning crew that will make sure the space is spotless before your arrival.

    For Saturday rentals, our booking price includes extended hours, Friday at 2pm - Sunday at 10am. We believe providing this style of block rates rather than a day rate allows our guests to better enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the clock.

    Included in the rental is the use of 20 6 ft. round tables, 2 large farmhouse tables and 200 x-back chairs. We also provide a dance-floor, which is required to help us protect our floors.

  • For weekend rentals,

    access to our event space begins at 2PM on the Friday before your event. All personal property must be removed no later than 10AM on the day following your event. If additional setup or cleanup time is required, please inquire for additional fee. Please be aware that as this is a working farm, there may be farming activity/maintenance occurring on the grounds, but we do our very best to minimize activity during special events.

  • We will provide trash bags and containers on site. It is the responsibility of you and/or your caterers/vendors to remove trash and recycling. A dumpster is available on site. All décor and personal items must be removed by your agreed upon end time, typically 10AM Sunday morning for weekend rentals. We will then have a cleaning crew come to handle sweeping, mopping and additional clean up. Note, that leaving trash on-site may incur an additional fee as we will need to cover additional working hours for our cleaning staff.

  • We have ample parking available at the barn, however we encourage carpooling or shuttles to and from the barn to optimize traffic flow and capacity.

  • Alcohol is permitted but must be served by a licensed and insured provider. Additionally, we are a proud partner of Pinola Mobile Bar, who provides a special rate at our event space. To find out more about Pinola Mobile Bar,

  • For weddings, we do require that you have an event planner. If you do not have your own planner yet, feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to make a referral of local planners we love working with.

  • Yes, we offer air conditioned restrooms! We have partitioned restrooms with 3 toilets on one side and 1 toilet and 2 urinals on the other side. We offer traditional signage, or gender neutral signage upon request for your events.

  • Yes! We now have heating and AC!

  • If your desired date is available, we require a 25% rental deposit in order to reserve your date with the remaining balance due 60 days before your event date.
